Sunset Mountains Macraweave
Brighten up your walls with this landscape macraweave wall hanging. Macraweaving combines macrame with weaving to create a wall hanging. In this piece, a sunsets over mountains . The mustard yellow, pink, terracotta rust, and mauve colors are inspired by the desert sunset and will go well with any warm, boho, or modern style.
Materials: Made with recycled cotton macrame cord, merino wool roving, yarn, and wooden dowel.
Care: Once you hang your piece, use a comb or a pet brush to carefully comb out the fringe. Hairspray works well to keep everything in place.

Kristi Nakata is a Yonsei (fourth generation) Japanese American fiber artist born and raised in the Seattle area, on Duwamish and Coast Salish land. Kristi’s macraweave wall hangings combine techniques of macrame and weaving. Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, she creates mountainscapes and abstract interpretations of the colors of our region.
